Exclusive Contest for Bexar County Elementary SchoolsSeaWorld is celebrating the opening of the new Pacific Point Preserve, and we want your students to join the fun!
Beginning Monday, March 23, students enrolled in a public or private Bexar County elementary school are invited to participate in a very special art contest meant to celebrate SeaWorld’s new sea lion home. The contest’s theme “Sea Lions at Play” is meant to highlight the way that sea lions learn and explore – through the act of play!
How to Enter
Tell your students & parents about the contest and encourage them to enter Students will need their parents/guardians’ permission to enter, so they can review the contest rules and download the entry form.
Let the creativity begin
The theme of the contest is “Sea Lions at Play” and artwork must be created on a standard letter-sized paper in vertical orientation (8 ½” wide by 11” high). Students can work on this in class or at home. Artwork will be judged on creativity, originality and how well it fits with the theme.
Submit art to enter
Gather all the artwork from your students along with each parent’s entry form, and send them to this address: SeaWorld San Antonio, ATTN: Education Department, 10500 SeaWorld Drive, San Antonio, TX 78251.
Prizes
SeaWorld + Aquatica Annual Passes & a chance to swim with sea lions SeaWorld will select one winning entry from each grade, kindergarten through grade 5. That person will win FOUR SeaWorld + Aquatica Annual Passes plus FOUR reservations to swim with sea lions!
One School will win a FREE visit from SeaWorld’s Animal Ambassador
SeaWorld will select one participating school to win a free assembly program from our Animal Ambassador Team.

Clark High School/PTA Founder's Day...
This year Clark High School and its feeder schools will be participating in PTA's Founders day celebration. This year founders day will be February 5th, 2015. Our theme will be "Back the Future". This means McAndrew will be contributing artwork that applies to this theme. More information to come later.
ART IS IN NEED OF PLASTIC BOTTLES and CONTAINERS.....
Highlanders we need your large plastic bottles or containers. We are going to be creating GREEN art scultpures. They can be 2 or 3 liter bottles, Gallon size, even laundry detergent containers will work. Thank you so much!!!

McAndrew ES will no longer be participating in Los Leones. Today we got the news that McAndrew will now follow the Clark High School Feeder group sooooo...McAndrew will be participating in ArtFest once again!Woohoo! ArtFest will be in April 2015.

Welcome Back Highlanders. In the month of August Art Class will be focused on creating new portfolios for the 2014-2015 school year and learning new classroom procedures. We will then shift focus to creating two deminsional art for the Los Leones Art Festival in October 2014. More information on Art Clubs coming in September.

Who: 1st- 5th Graders
What: Students will submit a drawing depicting this year's theme " River Wild"
How: Drawings must be vertical (portrait style) on white 8 1/2 '' by 11 ''. Students can use crayons, markers, colored pencils, or watercolors.
When: Submission by February 3, 2014.
Why: Win $1000.00 dollars worth of Art Supplies for McAndrew Elementary.
