Paint Color Sample ArtHave you ever been to Home Depot or Lowes and you see all the paint choice cards. Now there is something you can make with them. Even better is they are FREE. Take the color or colors you want and you can turn them into a holiday decoration! Make a ghost out of white or a candy corn out of orange and yellow! You can use your imagination to create anything! If you do create something, bring it by my room for a holiday surprise!
Fall will be here shortly! If you find that the leaves are falling or about to, start planning for a cool art project you could do. Try to find 6 or 7 different shaped leaves. Grab some chalk or oil pastels, if you have them and do a leaf shading on each leaf on a piece of paper.Rub away from the edge of the leaf. Use your finger or a tissue to smear the chalk for a different effect. Have fun!!!Earth Art or Land Art is an art movement in which landscape and the work of art are inextricably linked. It is also an art form that is created in nature, using natural materials such as soil, rock (bed rock, boulders, stones), organic media (logs, branches, leaves).Check out some of these cool earth works of art....Maybe this weekend you can make some earth art of your own!!! Take a picture if you can and post it on my blog or bring it in to show the class!!!! Have Fun!!
You don't always have to be creative just in Art class. Check out these creative options for Lunch! Wouldn't you like it if McAndrew ES Cafeteria served these creative sandwiches??? Next time you are looking for something creative to do think about designing or creating a new way to look at everyday food options!!Origami from ori meaning "folding", and kami meaning "paper". It is the traditional Japanese art of paper folding, which started in the 17th century AD at the latest and was popularized outside of Japan in the mid-1900s. I challenge you Highlanders to create your own Origami. You chose what you want to make. It could be an animal, flower, or whatever you like most! Bring it in to your next Art Class for a Surprise!!!
